Peach Orchard Processing - Your Local Meat Shop

Our Story

Peach Orchard Processing was founded in 2000 by Roy Floyd, a man who never met an idea he didn’t try to turn into a reality.

What started as a way to make a little extra income quickly grew into something much bigger. Roy built the original processing building from the ground up, often using whatever materials he could find, and added on piece by piece as demand grew. Nights turned into late nights, and late nights turned into a full-time business before anyone really saw it coming.

Roy spent his life in the meat business, working his way up from a grocery store meat counter to Meat Manager and Supervisor across multiple states. He earned his ServSafe certification, pushed for USDA inspection, and welcomed oversight because he believed if you’re doing things right, there’s nothing to hide. That mindset showed up everywhere in his life. Beyond Peach Orchard, Roy owned and operated several other businesses, including dock building, towing, general contracting, and paintball. If he had an idea, he didn’t talk about it long and most times didn’t talk about it at all. He would just come home with a new business and get to work.

In the early years, Peach Orchard was truly a family effort. Roy’s wife Angela Floyd, his mother Irene Floyd, and other family members helped keep things running while working other jobs, raising a kid, and filling in wherever needed. That kind of support is not something we take lightly, and it continues today. We’re still very much a family operation, with relatives pitching in during school breaks, taking time off their normal jobs during deer season, and showing up whenever we need extra hands.

In December 2025, we lost Roy. He was incredibly smart, endlessly hardworking, and loved to joke around. His impact on this business and on this community is something we feel every single day.

I’m Morgan Pring, Roy’s daughter and the owner of Peach Orchard Processing. I graduated from Winthrop University in 2017 with a degree in Business Administration and fully planned not to go into deer processing. That plan lasted until my last semester, when most of my classes were online and I decided to work one deer season with my dad. Turns out, I loved it.

I’ve been here full-time ever since. I especially enjoy connecting with our customers, hearing their stories, and continuing the relationships my dad worked so hard to build. I’m still learning the machinery side of things, which means some days I’m running equipment and other days I’m Googling things my dad somehow just knew.

Alongside me is Tia Biermann, our General Manager and the glue that holds this place together. Tia worked side by side with Roy for many years and knows this operation inside and out. She moved here from Florida in 2005 to be closer to her mom, met her husband shortly after, and somehow ended up becoming completely irreplaceable to Peach Orchard. Tia handles paperwork, scheduling, customer details, and a hundred other things that keep the wheels turning. She is absolutely terrible with machinery, but we love her anyway and wisely keep her far from the buttons.

Together, we’re committed to running Peach Orchard the way Roy taught us: work hard, do it right, laugh when you can, and never forget the people who make it all possible.

What We Stand For

We are USDA inspected, vacuum seal all products, and take pride in quality processing from start to finish. From cows and hogs to deer and even alligator, we believe there is a right way to do this work and we stand behind it.

Peach Orchard Processing has always been about more than meat. It’s about family, community, and doing honest work with pride. We’re grateful for the trust you place in us and proud to carry on a legacy built by one very smart, very funny man.
